ClubLotus Track Day
@ Castle Combe
23rd May 2009
Lotus Esprit World attended the ClubLotus Track Day at Castle Combe on 23rd May 2009. The event was good fun and was attended by plenty of Esprits. With the weather fine for once on a bank holiday weekend, the Castle Combe circuit saw plenty of Esprit tyres. This event is basically a track day for Lotus car owners. You pay around £85 for two 15-minute session, morning and afternoon, Lotus only. Other than that it is free to attend and watch the cars on the track, plus if you bring your Lotus along, you can drive it around the circuit (parade lap) for free. A great day out!
PNM Engineering
PNM Engineering attended the event with plenty of stock. New products included new 4-pot rear brake calipers with a mechanical handbrake, V8 Sports Cats with 100 core at a great price, some 2004 style LED rear light pods, which looked great and go with the rear light panel to give you the late look rear end at a reasonable price. More info on these products will be on the site soon, or call PNM direct.
Lotus Parade Laps
Anyone with a Lotus Car could do a few parade laps of the Castle Combe Circuit at 12.45pm. Following a pace car and being followed by the safety car, owners got to drive the circuit at a decent pace. Plenty took the opportunity and it was nice to see so many Loti on the track together.
Robs Esprit Sport 500 hits the Track
Rob's 500bhp Sport 350 took to the track for a few laps with ClubLotus' Alan Morgan on board. No reports on how the car performed, but after all the work gone into it, it's nice to see it out on a flying lap.
Esprits on the Track
Thanks to everyone at ClubLotus for putting on the event.
