Esprit Crash
Reims,
France 23rd May 2003
The car, a Lotus, literally wrapped itself around the post.
It was about 8.30 yesterday evening (23rd May 2003) when Arnaud Schiltz at the wheel of a Lotus Esprit, lost control of his car in the town centre. The Esprit allegedly took off and finished its course wrapped around a post. The driver died at the scene, while his passenger, a child, suffered minor injuries. The accident happened behind the cemetery of the "Neuvillette", on the "Maurice Plongeron" avenue. It is unknown why Arnaud lost control of the vehicle.
I hope this is a reminder of what can happen and that none of us are indestructible. If you drive fast drive safe. Lotus Esprit World
