Two years ago, while visiting Symbolic Motors, La Jolla -- I became re-acquainted with the Lotus Esprit. The only models available in the showroom, at the time, were all V8, but I wanted the 1995 S4s. So I waited patiently. In the mean time, I purchase a Lotus Elan M100 so I could begin to experience the joys of owning a Lotus car. The Elan is a real joy and have spend many hours with my Son, upgrading and increasing its performance.
Five months ago, I noticed that the same dealer had just listed a 1995 Calypso Red S4s on their website. The next day, we went to the dealer, and after one look, we fell in love with the car. Over the past few months, we have spent a lot of time learning about the car, and participating in Clublotus LA our local Lotus club. There is only one car that is better than this, and hope that it will be in our future: a 2003 Chrome Orange Esprit V8.
Last month, while getting together with Lotus friends in Huntington Beach, California we just happened to run into Peter Stevens, as in Stevens Esprit. He is the second from the left standing next to yours truly.
