Previous Lotus':	Esprit V8 GT 1998 bought from new – suffered cylinder liner problem and had engine replaced under warranty. Sold in order to buy Sports 350. Also owned 1998 spec GT3 but soon sold (too slow).
Why an Esprit:	Nothing else can do: classic British sports car
Upgrades:	Car is as it left the factory
Problems:	Lots – three new drive shafts, new engine, new gearbox, new cooling fans, new radiator, broken engine mount etc, etc. Virtually all covered by warranty.
Info:	I also own a white S1, a Black 03 V8 and a yellow Sport 300.

Esprit at the MotorShow
Excel 23rd July- 3rd Aug 2008
Both Ken Baird's S1 and the Sport 350 appeared on the Heritage Stand at this years Motorshow, which opened on 23rd July and runs until Sunday 3rd August. Lotus unveiled the new Evora at the same show. Good to have an Esprit presence at such a big show, especially with Lotus being one of the main attractions at this year show.
