It was this or an Aston and this is (just) cheaper to run! Upgrades: Cat 2 alarm Problems: Steering very stiff (suspect steering col joint???) bloody thirsty (but not as bad as the roller and not much worse than RX7). . .and can't wipe smile off face every time I drive it! Info: Car is near mint with 50k on clock, two owners from new and full Lotus service history (last service bill is for £2,500!!!) Air con, CD and second best colour (would have preferred a yellow one - but this was too good to pass up)
Had a film crew down last week from NMTV who saw car on this site and were looking for near mint, standard and non-molested cars. They are doing an Esprit history video and also compiling material for TV prog (C4 or ITV apparently) and were also filming an S1 owner in Wigan that afternoon.
They spent three hours filming car (which ran like a dream throughout) and bashful owner (not) then did driving shots on moors above Bolton. Appeared very impressed by car and this web site..........thought impending Esprit Vid and TV prog may be of interest.
